About us
Founded in 2023 Komorebi is a London based design studio that works on creating peaceful spaces by layering in varying hues of light. With over 10 years experience in the design industry we are a team that focus on creating unique and functional pieces that work amongst any interior. We aim to work as far as possible with what already exists by adapting antiques to fit the modern user, we do this by sourcing our curated lighting collection from suppliers around the globe and hand making our unique lampshades with locally sourced materials.
The Japanese word ‘Komorebi’ simply translates to “The feeling you get when you see the light shining through the trees”, which we felt was fitting to our product and denotes Sophie’s time spent living in Osaka and Hokkaido.
